AREAS OF EFFECTIVENESS

HIGHLIGHTS

As a Unified Communications (UC) Solution Specialist, I help Microsoft’s clients enable instant communication throughout their enterprises.  By taking advantage of presence information and unified conferencing (Voice, Video, Web), workers can make immediate business decisions.  I have held several roles in UC including the greater Los Angeles commercial area and the Western Region Government sales and now I am responsible for UC Sales and market development in Southern California & Hawaii.  In my previous position as a Senior Microsoft Technology Specialist, I was involved in many facets of corporate digital infrastructure and design to enable electronic commerce for our clients. My area of concentration was with Microsoft’s E-Business Server product line, centered around Microsoft’s BizTalk Server.  BizTalk is a middleware solution that uses XML to enable electronic commerce (B2B) over the Internet and well as enterprise application integration (EAI) internal to a corporation. I participated in 2 field training programs where I worked on the BizTalk Server product team in Redmond, Washington, helping launch the product with Michael Dell of Dell Computer at the Windows 2000 Launch event in San Francisco. I have worked with many clients providing guidance to allow businesses to operate via XML with their trading partners and customers as well as internal systems. My original Microsoft position concentrated on SQL Server database and OLAP (Business Intelligence) integration to provide our customers a total data management solution.  As the Business Intelligence field representative, I worked closely with Microsoft partners to determine the best BI Solution including Microsoft technology, third party applications and consulting services. I have a unique background of database expertise along with a firm understanding of business objectives for successful project implementation. I was involved in several areas of the Oracle Corporation over four years which included the Core Technologies, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) and System Performance Group (SPG) Consulting practices. This wide range of technical groups developed my skills in Oracle RDBMS and Applications installations, upgrades, migrations and tuning. Additional skills include symmetric replication, snapshot replication, backup/recovery procedure implementation, third-party software integration, SQL coding and debugging, architecture design, multi-organization setup and database performance tuning. These attributes along with extensive global travel and solid business experience provide my basis for strong leadership in project development and implementation.

AREAS OF KNOWLEDGE

My current role in the Unified Communications (UC) team as a Solution Specialist allows me to provide instant communications for our clients in Southern California as well as the Western US.  I carry sales quota for Office Communication Server (OCS), LiveMeeting, Office Communicator, and the associated client access licenses including telephony.  I have developed sales and marketing strategies for this rapidly emerging market and provide clients with messaging solutions that integrate with applications, Office, the Windows desktop and the enterprise Active Directory infrastructure.  My clients have included key West region accounts, like Intel as well as government agencies and all  Southern California commercial accounts.

These solutions used existing data sources for my architecture planning with XML enablement of current business processes and overall integration of Microsoft products into the telecommunications industry.
